What we do
Our vision for the future is one where our door is open for any bright and intellectually curious girl who meets the academic criteria, irrespective of their background.
Already, we provide substantial help with fees to one in ten students – 11% of our student roll. However, as applications for financial assistance increase, we want to do everything we can to support talented girls who might not otherwise have the opportunity to join our school.
The cost of a full bursary for one year is

To support one student for her full seven years at SPGS, the cost is
£270,000
The bursary scheme at SPGS is, without doubt, one of its greatest assets. It contributes towards the richness and variety of the education on offer to all girls and, moving forwards, will ensure that the school remains at the forefront of girls' education in the years ahead. Anonymous Donor
The impact of bursaries is life-changing: more than financial support, they are a gateway to education, empowerment and future success.
Talent, intellect and potential are not characteristics limited or skewed to children from more privileged socio-economic backgrounds. They can be found in all children. But for every brilliant student who gains a place at our school, there are many more who simply cannot even dream of attending, even though they would add enormous value to the school.
