2020 Examination Results

Many congratulations to our students on their achievements in the 2020 GCSE and IGCSE results.

Many congratulations to our students on their achievements in the 2020 GCSE and IGCSE results, which are the culmination of their hard work and commitment and the dedication and expertise of their teachers. Students were awarded the higher of their centre-assessed grade and the statistically-adjusted calculated grade. 86% of entries were awarded a 9 grade (1% point higher than the 2019 outcome) and  97.9% of entries gained an 8 or 9 (which are equivalent to the old A* grade).

Many congratulations also to all of our students on their achievements in the 2020 A level and Pre-U results. Given the decision of the government to award students the higher of their centre-assessed grade or the statistically adjusted calculated grade, we are pleased to update the results awarded at A level and Pre-U.

We are delighted to announce that 64.6% of entries attained an A* grade at A level or the Pre-U equivalent D1 or D2. 92.4% of entries achieved an A* or A grade and 98.4% a B grade or higher (or the Pre-U equivalent). We follow Pre-U specifications in 10 subjects in which 37.5  of entries achieved a D1 – a grade that exceeds the A* standard at A level.

All of these examination results remain provisional and subject to change after any post results processes are completed.
