Mary’s Meals Assembly

Mary’s Meals Assembly

Businessman Peter Higgins visited St Paul's for the second time to tell us more about Mary's Meals, one of our school charities for this year.

Emilia, UIV, found this assembly a fascinating insight into one of our school charities for this year:

Businessman Peter Higgins visited St Paul’s for the second time to give a talk on the charity for which he is a Board Director, Mary’s Meals (one of our school charities for this year). He spoke about how education is crucial in stopping poverty, and how Mary’s Meals is all about giving children that education: meals are given to children, on the condition that they attend school. He also gave us some startling numerical information: for example, it can only take £9 to feed a child for a whole year! Overall, it was a very fascinating and thought-provoking talk.
