Charities Committee Christmas Activities

A multitude of festive charitable events have brought some seasonal cheer to the final weeks of term.

Holly, VII, Vice-Chair of the Charities Committee, summarises their recent festive fundraising initiatives:

A multitude of festive charitable events have taken place this week. On Tuesday, the VII had a hot chocolate morning and Wednesday was Christmas Jumper Day for all year groups. It was wonderful to see such festive fashion around the school, and we had some outstanding busking performances during lunch time, ranging from close harmony groups to violins. Students have been donating to send candy canes around the school with messages to friends, and our prize draw included prizes of all kinds, including some special ‘skip the lunch queue’ vouchers and many sweet treats. We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of all our community in providing for the food bank collection – so much was donated and we would like to thank everyone who contributed. All proceeds from our events go to our amazing school charities: Mary’s Meals and Women’s Aid. If you would like to donate to our Christmas fundraising pages, please go here for Mary’s Meals or here for Women’s Aid. Every donation makes such a huge difference and we are so grateful for your generosity!
