Service in the community

Engagement with the communities around us is central to life at St Paul’s. Numerous partnerships are formed through the sharing of facilities, events and a number of bespoke activities with schools and community organisations. We were founding members of the West London Partnership and recognise the value to our own students and staff of working in partnership to deliver social impact and promote best practise in education.

Our partnerships programme is extensive and constantly evolving. We have a group of projects giving our students opportunities to mentor primary students as a mutually beneficial way to make a difference. This includes The Jupiter Project, where students learn musical instruments and perform in an orchestra, and the Primary Hub, a weekly homework and activities club. These activities link into enrichment days and an annual summer school so that they have maximum impact. It is quite normal to see other students visiting the school be it for talks or university preparation. We endeavour to offer opportunities for all students to become involved in voluntary and charitable activities, developing a thread of service throughout the school and examples include Art Detectives, Living Library, Book Clubs in Schools, Coding Club and other projects devised and organised by the students themselves.
