Robinson Society Talk

For their first session of the Spring term, Robinson Society were very grateful to welcome Astrid Haas, who spoke on the fascinating topic of urbanisation. Rob Soc is our designated society for all things economics, newly revived this year. Astrid Haas, who is the former policy director of the International Growth Centre and was named one of Africa’s young leaders by the University of Cape Town, gave a thought-provoking presentation on the challenges and opportunities that the growth of cities presents. Thank you to Ms Haas for giving up her time to speak to us and to Yana, Julia, Stacey, Weijia, Maya, Aaniya, VII and VIII, for organising the talk.
