This week the 2020-21 Charities Committee gave their first assembly of the year, live streamed to classrooms around the school. Despite the current safety restrictions, they are very excited to be planning a number of new and improved fundraising events for this academic year. They have chosen a shortlist of incredibly inspiring charities – Stop the Traffik, National Women’s Law Centre, Help Refugees, Mary’s Meals, Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust, Crisis, West London Zone and Women’s Aid – and are looking forward to finding out which charities will be voted as our chosen school charities of the year. In the upcoming term, they are hoping to set up year-wide bake sales, adapted dress up days, whole school competitions, a revised amnesty production and much more, whilst also participating in Write for Rights and other inspiring initiatives that are remotely accessible.
