On the May bank holiday weekend, Cantamus went on tour to Belgium. They had an incredible time performing in breath-taking venues, exploring Belgium’s history and breaking off for delicious Belgian waffles. They performed three concerts, each with a varied programme including choral pieces, chamber groups, solo performances and a close harmony group. The venues included the Basilica of Holy Blood, where, according to legend, a sample of Jesus Christ’s blood is kept, as well as the huge and incredibly ornate St Bavo’s Cathedral in Gent. They also enjoyed a canal cruise on the waterways through Bruges and discovered the ten-pin bowling talents of Paulinas.
