As I bid farewell, I reflect on the past eight years with deep gratitude, having had the honour and true privilege of serving as your High Mistress. Leading this extraordinary school and being part of its remarkable community has been the greatest privilege of my professional life.
It was an honour to perform alongside colleagues, students, alumnae, and parents in my farewell concert during the summer term. I’m deeply grateful to everyone involved: from those who shared the stage with me to individuals who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to bring the concert to life. I am pleased to share that the fundraising for a fully-endowed bursary place has been completed, and I cannot think of a more meaningful way to mark my departure from St Paul’s. Thank you to everyone who has made this possible.
I congratulate everyone, students and staff, on a fantastic set of A level, I/GCSE and school directed course results. This is the most extraordinary school, in which individual talent is given every opportunity to shine and creativity flourishes. It has been a privilege to be a part of such an inspiring community and I wish everyone, including our new High Mistress Liz Hewer, every joy and success in the future.
To our students past and present, to my colleagues and Governors, and to our wider school community, thank you for your trust, your commitment, and your partnership. I will carry the memories of this extraordinary place and its wonderful community with me always.
Best wishes,
Sarah Fletcher
