Hans Woyda Mathematics Competition

Hans Woyda Mathematics Competition

Our team, comprised of Jane (LV), Eira (VI), Aurelia (VII), and Aria (VIII), recently participated in the first round of the Hans Woyda Mathematics Competition, and it has been quite an exciting journey so far.

Our first match was against Latymer Upper School, and it was a nail-biter. Latymer Upper gave us strong competition, but we were determined to perform our best. We showed resilience, quick thinking, and accuracy in our responses. In particular, we did exceptionally well in the race round and managed to come out as the winners. We then had a friendly match with students from St Paul’s School to prepare for the upcoming matches. This experience allowed us to have insightful discussions, showcase our mental maths skills, and strengthen our teamwork. We have more matches lined up after the half-term break and our team is diligently preparing for the challenges ahead. Taking part in the competition has been a rewarding experience and we are grateful for the school’s support. Stay tuned for updates on our journey!
