Tanya, VI, describes an unusual recent geography trip:
On 7 October, greeted by lovely sunny weather, the VI Geographers swapped Devon for our own local Brook Green as they took part in an exciting geography fieldwork day. The day was divided into two halves: physical geography, which involved practical data collection on Brook Green, and human geography, which included a virtual investigation exploring White City online. Armed with equipment ranging from tape-measures to clinometers, we measured leaf litter cover using various sampling techniques, carrying out a thorough investigation into how and why leaf litter changes over time. The virtual human geography fieldwork was no less engaging, as we delved into questions surrounding the regeneration of White City.
