The Young Voices Choir is the biggest children’s choir in the world, and to be able to participate as a part of something like that with my school had lit a spark in me from the day I found out about it. As we entered the stadium, our eyes widened in shock as we gazed at the gargantuan size of our venue. Ram-packed with school choirs just like ours, whose members were also tingling with excitement, we would begin our rehearsal imminently. We were led by our conductor from Young Voices, Mr David Lawrence, throughout the rehearsal and the concert itself. Both the rehearsal and the concert were filled with joy and entertainment.
As parents began to enter, my stomach did a somersault in excitement as we all felt incredibly privileged to be part of something that we had been preparing for months. As a choir of many harmonious voices coming from all over London, the event was a display of our hard work of learning multiple songs and dances, pouring a sincere feel of pride and accomplishment after each and every performance.
The event was a huge success but none of it would have been possible without Ms Benn, Miss Pegler and all the teachers who worked so hard to organise this wonderful event for us. Thank you all very much for such an amazing event and all your hard work.
