Forging New Ties: IntoUniversity

This term we have started an exciting three-year partnership with IntoUniversity following funding by the Mercers. IntoUniversity provides leadership and personal development training that challenges negative self-perceptions among young people and encourages them to think expansively about the future and to take responsibility for their own goals. Programmes include academic, focus, mentoring (including corporate mentoring) and employability schemes (including the ‘Big City, Bright Future’ scheme). Towards the end of this half term, we will be in touch with parents and alumnae with further details of how to support the project as mentors or hosts for interns. Early next year there will also be opportunities for students to be involved as mentors. This partnership could not come at a more crucial time and we look forward to seeing it develop over the coming years.
