Collaborating with the team, we decided to host a ‘Metaverse Design Competition.’ Participants propose an environmentally sustainable pavilion and the winning entry will be modelled in a virtual Metaverse space, allowing visitors to actually ‘walk around’ the building. We were inspired by how the Metaverse is increasingly being used within architecture to depict incredible structures, and we wanted to offer students the chance to join this movement. We engaged with the Metaverse ourselves by working with the team to construct the realm where the pavilion will be featured, an invaluable experience, which introduced us to the architectural design process. With the contest deadline approaching soon, we are looking forward to judging the entries alongside the team at DaeWha!
