Equestrian Trip to Yorkshire

From Monday 17 to Thursday 20 October, I was lucky enough to go to Conistone, Yorkshire with a group of seven other students, Ms Freemantle and Ms Arblaster.

We boarded a train early Monday morning, excited for four fun days of riding that lay ahead! Everyone was assigned a horse, which we looked after every day: fetching them from the field, grooming, tacking up and riding them. The amazing weather (for the first three days, at least) meant that we really enjoyed the stunning views of The Dales when we went hacking. We also had lots of fun playing mounted games, even though most of us fell off! In the evenings, we cooked dinner (with the supervision and help of Ms Freemantle), along with hanging out and watching movies together. On the final day, we all participated in a mini jumping competition and were all awarded rosettes for our performance and turnout.

The trip was a great way to spend my half term – thank you so much to Ms Freemantle and Ms Arblaster for taking us!
