Over the course of five weeks, members of the VII and VIII participated in a series of joint printmaking workshops with St Paul’s School, run by Ayesha and Ella (VIII 2021-22). The workshops led us through multiple intaglio printmaking techniques, as well as some methods to layer different colours on the same plate when printing. It was exciting to visit the print studio at St Paul’s School for some of the sessions where Mr Flint, the printmaking teacher at SPS, introduced us to viscosity printmaking, a method none of us had come across before by which multiple colours can be layered within the same print. It was a lovely collaborative event and a wonderful way to share resources and hopefully something that will continue in years to come. In addition, a huge thank you to Mr Bunning for all his support and help in setting this up.
