This year, the school has chosen to support The UK Sepsis Trust and Girls Not Brides. During the first half of term, the Charities Committee has been highly active in implementing a range of successful events and initiatives to support these charities and various other causes. Some examples include second-hand lab coat and book collections for The Children’s Book Project, promoting sustainability, and a bake sale by Malaika (VIII) raising money for Malaika Kids, in addition to the brilliant work done to send relief to Morocco. Our fundraising for this half term culminated with the annual highly anticipated Amnesty Concert, featuring a variety of musical acts, with the money collected being donated to the charity Amnesty, which promotes awareness and support for human rights around the world.
We are looking forward to a Halloween themed dress-up competition and various bake sales this half term as well as a hot chocolate trolley during Thursday breaks and other fun activities for the whole school community!
As always, a huge thank you to all who have supported us with our initiatives – we really appreciate it!
